CULTURE PLAN EARTH
WHAT IS PLAN EARTH CULTURE?
Was culture overlooked when the UN Sustainable Development Goals were written? Thirteen cultural institutions have proven this in recent months by highlighting their and culture's sustainable contribution to society. According to Lotte Hansen, CEO of the sustainable strategy house Hansen & Ersbøll Agenda, this underlines the fact that culture in itself delivers a documentable effect and that it actively works with its contribution to the sustainable transition.
Our strong results developed with the European Region of Culture and 13 cultural institutions. No one has done better than me, the amazing Merete Otillia Knudsen , who is herself a cultural entrepreneur and has created a wonderful 'club'. Thank you for wanting to talk to me.

WHY IS CULTURE DECISIVE IN A SUSTAINABLE TRANSITION?

Culture has the ability to make us reflect on our role in the world and can reach people on a different level than facts and figures. This reflection is necessary to mobilize a transformation of our society, including the massive behavioral and habit changes required if we are to have any hope of staying within the scientific recommendations for sustainable development.
Together with the Central Danish Academy of Culture, we helped 13 cultural institutions gather yesterday and share how they have worked with us for 3 months and developed a sustainable strategy with the value creation of the culture as the focal point. They also all developed climate accounting and ESG – classic, but yesterday it was about the culture 'In itself'. We have set out to develop cultural indicators, not on the principles of the Ministry of Finance, but on culture's own. If we succeed, we will put sound and documentation to Wittgenstein and Kant, with the greatest humility and respect.
